Privacy Policy
In short: FTMS Treadmill doesn't collect any data. There's no account, no advertising, no analytics and no server. What the app reads and records stays on your iPhone, your Apple Watch and in Apple Health, and the developer never receives it.
This policy covers the FTMS Treadmill app for iPhone and Apple Watch and this website. The app is developed by Diego Sánchez (“we”).
Health data
With your permission, the app uses Apple Health (HealthKit) to show your heart rate during workouts and to save your workouts. You choose what to allow in the Health permission screen, and you can change it at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices.
| Read | Heart rate, resting heart rate, active energy, walking and running distance, step count, workouts, date of birth, and your heart rate zone settings. Resting heart rate and date of birth are only used to estimate heart rate zones when Health has none. |
|---|---|
| Saved | Workouts (Indoor Run or Indoor Walk) with their intervals, heart rate, active and resting energy, walking and running distance, step count, and running speed, power, stride length, vertical oscillation and ground contact time. |
Health data is used only to run your workouts and show you their results. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, never used for advertising or marketing, and never sold. If you turn off Save to Health, the app doesn't write workouts to Health.
Bluetooth
The app connects to your treadmill over Bluetooth to set its speed and incline and to read its speed, distance and incline. It remembers which treadmill you used so it can reconnect. It doesn't collect information about other Bluetooth devices near you.
Motion & Fitness on Apple Watch
If you allow it, the watch app reads its step counter during a workout to measure the distance you ran, so the summary can compare it with the treadmill's.
What's stored in the app
Your workout plans, settings and workout history (summaries with heart rate, speed and other charts) are stored on your iPhone. While a workout runs, your iPhone and Apple Watch exchange its progress directly with each other. This data is included in your device backups according to your iCloud or computer backup settings, and deleting the app deletes it. Workouts saved to Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party code for analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking, and it doesn't track you across apps or websites. Apple processes Health and device data under Apple's privacy policy, for example when you sync Health with iCloud.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics or third-party resources. Its fonts are served from this site. The hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and operation.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, children included.
Your choices
- Change or revoke Health, Bluetooth and Motion & Fitness access at any time in the Settings app.
- Delete individual workouts in the app's History tab, or in the Health app.
- Delete the app to remove everything it stored on your devices.
Because we don't receive any of your data, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
